Jonson Leo

David joined Just Family Law in 2015 to continue his long career in family law. He was admitted to practice in 2001 and has practiced almost exclusively in family law since that time.

David has experience dealing with all types of parenting and financial matters, from straight forward divorces to complex litigation about significant assets and everything in between.  He gives all clients his care and attention, no matter the dispute and keeps the legal costs in mind to make sure his services remain reasonable and affordable.

As a single parent himself, David has a passion for parenting matters to ensure that children are able to maintain their relationships with both parents after a separation.  He aims to achieve workable, long-term solutions that allow parents to avoid future disputes without legal assistance.  David ensures that clients receive their fair financial entitlements and makes every effort to avoid lengthy and costly court proceedings unless absolutely necessary.  Where court proceedings are necessary, David represents his clients at the Family Law Courts to achieve the best possible outcome. David will also represent clients at the Magistrates Court to appear for intervention order matters related to a family law dispute.

David is a member of the Law Institute of Victoria and the Mornington Peninsula Lawyers Association. He currently volunteers for the Casey Cardinia Community Legal Service which is mutually rewarding and invaluable.

David has played an integral role in the delivery of legal advice to Just Family Law clients since 2015. He works exclusively in our Dandenong practice.
